My name is Jasmine, but please call me Jazzy. I am a silly kid at heart, who LOVES food, is over the moon about travel and feel so energized in moments of discovery and exploration. I began pursuing community arts at a young age and graduated with a painting degree focusing on public art for social change. For ten years after college I worked as a Community Muralist in Philadelphia, and was also so fulfilled by working as the Director of Community Arts in Camden, New Jersey, creating healing arts programs in prisons, hospitals and homeless shelters. I am happiest when I can give back to others, and feel so lucky to use a percentage of your deposit to help support a charity service project I volunteer for annually either nationally or internationally.

My greatest mentor was my late high school painting teacher Marcia, who instilled in me countless lessons that I still draw upon today. As a young student I thought she was just teaching me about art, but quickly learned she was teaching me about life. Lessons that started with a paint brush, quickly crossed over into the sweetness and rawness of life. She taught me to hold my intuition with great reverence, never settle for the superficial, depend on my imagination as I would a friend and laugh, A LOT. And so I have. And even though it takes more effort at times to dig deep, the beauty that comes is unparalleled. I consider photographs as unique living stories. I want you to feel the pictures, not just see them. There is magic in the most ordinary of moments if you just wait for it to surface. And it always does. My work is rooted in sincerity and my goal is constant; that you see yourself, your family and your love reflected genuinely, artistically and warmly in my lens.

Packages include a two hour photo shoot, and high resolution images, prints and/or albums can be added to your package.

~ Travel fee applies to shoots farther than 1 hour outside of Hartford, CT.

Mentoring

~ “The Third Element” intensive one on one mentoring sessions are based on the artistic theory & intuitive practice that one plus one equals three. This sacred third element is where your creative & intuitive voice lives. Creating anything from this space offers a beautiful vulnerability that will be seen and felt in your photography, business & personal life. It truly is a multi transformational process that will awaken the senses and heighten all that you do. If you are feeling ready to dive deeper into your work and explore places that are calling you from the third element, I would be so excited to join in your adventure!
